Somebody thought of that, and someone believed it But, sometimes, we have to step back and continue to trust God, even when we feel our prayers aren't being heard and answered. At one point of our lives or another, we all wish to have what we want at an exact time. (Meaning: According to Kermit, the only reason why people wish on stars in the first place is because somebody made it up. Who said that every wish would be heard and answered So, there's a lot of self-confidence behind this.) But, Kermit, being the wonderer, isn't going to quit on his dream, just because of what others think. (Meaning: Perhaps the person, or people, who said the second line in the song, were people that don't want you to succeed, and in return, we take it as a personal defeat on our part, and we don't want to reach our goals. So we've been told and some choose to believe it But, I think Kermit is referring to one's dreams and goals, and how others may say that one's dreams will never come true, because dreams are something you think about visually, but regardless, they're still false.) (Meaning: Some people may argue that in this line, Kermit is talking negatively about rainbows. Like rainbows, the possibilities are infinite. (Meaning: Life is full of mystery and questions, and the beauty of it all is that we always want to know what happens next, how the world works, and the plan God has for our lives.
